Campers will spend the week learning how to garden through hands on activities like weeding, watering, planting, and harvesting. Participants will engage in arts, crafts, games, and cooking each day while working in the garden.
This camp is for 5-8yr olds. There is a $45 fee for the week.
Students are required to wear closed toed shoes each day for safety to comply with GAP regulations. Students will be out in the garden for approx. 2.5 hrs per day and will need to be prepared to perform light physical labor and wear clothing that can get dirty. Students are highly encouraged to wear sunscreen and long pants. Participants will be provided with water bottles and enjoy snacks daily that they prepare from the garden.
Students will be working with hand gardening tools and will be expected to handle themselves in an appropriate manner when working with tools to avoid any injury to themselves or others. We need to be able to provide a safe learning environment to all who are participating, and any student who cannot conduct themselves appropriately will be sent home without exception.
NOTE: Regsitration deadline is June 25th and registration limit of 12 students.
