Healthcare Career Pathway Day
The Dubuque Community Schools, in partnership with the Northeast Iowa Regional STEM Advisory Council, invite healthcare organizations, businesses, and community partners to exhibit on September 29 during the Healthcare Career Pathway Day.
This event will provide high school students with the opportunity to explore healthcare careers, educational pathways, and industry trends through direct interaction with professionals. To ensure an engaging experience, all exhibitors are asked to provide a hands-on activity, demonstration, or interactive learning experience that introduces students to your profession, organization, or area of expertise.
Exhibitors should plan for activities that can be completed in 10–15 minutes and accommodate groups of 10–15 students at a time. Activities should allow students to actively explore healthcare concepts, technologies, procedures, or career skills rather than simply receiving information. Examples may include simulation activities, equipment demonstrations, skill-building exercises, career exploration challenges, or other interactive learning opportunities appropriate for high school students. By providing an engaging activity, your organization will help students make meaningful connections between classroom learning and real-world healthcare careers while inspiring them to consider future opportunities in the healthcare field.
We welcome participation from hospitals, clinics, long-term care providers, public health agencies, emergency services, educational institutions, laboratories, rehabilitation centers, mental health organizations, and other healthcare-related businesses and agencies.
